Here at Fireside Expressions, we listened when our customers said they wanted an impressive, custom fire feature that was completely different from the mainstream decor. We combined style, romance, and enchantment together in one piece for our 36 inch Miano-style concrete fire and water bowl!
While most people think these two elements naturally oppose each other, we have blended them together in perfect harmony for your viewing pleasure! Whether you are designing a DIY fountain that is begging for a spectacular topper, or looking for a matching set of features to stand guard by the horizon of your infinity pool, these accents won't disappoint you! The scupper-style bowl houses the water within a copper basin, routing it away from the burner and gas components, which rest safely above. Our Milano-style pool fire bowls are designed with a touch of character, boasting a bold ribbed pattern below the thick rim. For added elegance, we take your choice of nine warm shades and incorporate it into a concrete mixture. Our American craftsmen then hand pour your bowl for a durable, consistent result. No need to worry about the color fading or needing to be "touched up" down the road.
Be sure to check out our vast collection of fire glass and lava rock for extra pizzazz! We are excited to announce that with the purchase of every concrete bowl, you will receive one box of fire stones in your choice of color - FREE! Whether your concrete bowl will be used as a decorative planter or a dazzling fire element, we want to help you enhance the look of your feature! Keep in mind that a filler will be needed in the bottom of the bowls (we recommend our propane-friendly lava rock). These fire stones are meant to be an embellishment for the top of your concrete bowl.
*Due to the heaviness of this bowl, make sure you are positioning it in an area that can bear the extreme weight. It will probably require some sort of a foundation to ensure a sturdy support. Please do not plan on placing this feature on a deck, for example.
*We highly suggest having additional help when maneuvering it to the determined spot in your backyard. A pallet jack may be required.
We combine a braided flex hose, copper scupper, and a tube of adhesive in our spillway kit. This allows you to run a water line up through the second hole in the bowl, and out through the scupper. No water will be sitting in the bowl, keeping your burner and all fire components water-free.
When creating a fire feature, we've got you covered! Our stainless steel circle burner comes with an installation kit that includes a flex line, nipple, ball valve, flange, and key (all parts are 1/2" in diameter). Your certified gas contractor will have all the components necessary for installation. Your fire bowls will be up and flaming in no time!
Don't let the weather decide when you'll be using your concrete fire bowl. Our Mini-AWEIS (All Weather Electronic Ignition System) makes lighting your fire feature fast and easy. These ignition systems might say "mini", but they deliver big results! They can stay lit even in the rain!
Your concrete fire bowl will only be complete when you select your choice of fire media. Fire glass can be used with natural gas burning features ONLY. Fireside Expressions is adamant about this for the safety of our valued customers. Choose from a variety of bold reflective glass colors to accent the shade of your natural gas concrete bowl. When the fire is lit, it will look like it is shimmering on ice!
Because propane is heavier than natural gas, it will sink to the bottom of your feature. Small pieces of fire glass will not allow propane to circulate, and this can lead to the explosion of this particular media. Even with larger fire glass pieces, there is still not enough room for the gas to dissipate from wind and other factors. Lava rock allows propane to dissipate and is the safest choice for propane features.

Air pockets (shown here to the right) are a common occurrence in precast products. Any concrete Phoenix Precast product can display air pockets - the frequency and size is not controllable in any way.
Please check with your local government agency regarding laws and regulations on outdoor fire features. Due to the fact that we custom make every concrete fire bowl, we cannot accept returns based on ordinance code restrictions.
