The Fire By Design 24" 24VAC Field Serviceable Igniter Replacement for Pilot Burner Assembly HSI24-FS is a high-quality replacement component for the AWEIS primary pilot burner assembly. Available in multiple sizes, this hot surface igniter allows for simple, reliable ignition of your fuel source. Hot Surface ignition is one of the most common ignition systems. The system works by allowing electrical energy to flow to the igniter, quickly the igniter will be glowing red hot. Before the gas valve opens, a certain amount of time is allowed to pass to ensure it has reached a sufficient temperature. The hot surface quickly ignites the gas as it flows into the burners. After combustion has begun, the hot surface igniter ceases to receive electricity.
