10 lb Lava Fyre Coals for Fire Pits, Fire Glass & Gas Logs
Lava Fyre Coals are porous lava rocks designed for use in fire features where a natural-looking, functional media is needed. The porous composition helps disperse gas, while the lava rock's insulating properties help support efficient fuel burning.
Use these coals as filler beneath fire glass or gas logs, or leave them exposed when you prefer the simple appearance of natural lava rock. The individual pieces measure approximately 1–2 inches and can be arranged over a compatible burner. Each package contains 10 pounds of lava rock.
Lava Fyre Coals can also be used for landscaping applications in place of wood chips or other mulch. Their porous structure can help aerate the soil. Because the rocks are lightweight and contain air-filled pores, they can float when exposed to standing or moving water. For landscaping applications, use them in a contained location with suitable drainage.
For fire-feature installations, check your fireplace or fire pit type and confirm that lava rock is appropriate for your specific burner and system before use. Follow the appliance or burner manufacturer's instructions for media placement and installation.
